As I've mentioned in the past few weeks, I've felt a bit burnt out. I love working on ReTextile, but sometimes I work on it too much, leading to some burnout.

While my mentor and I didn't discuss the topic directly, she strongly encouraged me to get some rest this weekend. I did, and it felt so good! To recap this week:

  1. I met with a networking group and pitched ReTextile. It was so lovely to meet all the professionals in the group and practice pitching ReTextile;

  2. I filed my Certificate of Formation with the Texas Secretary of State! Filing this form is the first major step to getting 501(c)3 certified;

  3. I did some networking at the Frisco Day of Service and observed my mentor pitching Refresh Frisco.

Coming up this week, I will primarily focus on preparing for the ISM Research Showcase. Preparation includes updating my website, prepping my business cards, etc. I will also be working on tying up some loose ends from last week, which include sending thank-you notes, emailing a few people, and prepping some social media posts.

I'm still working on finding a balance between ISM/ReTextile and the rest of my life, but this weekend was definitely a start.

See you next week,

Ashley
