Busy Bee

I’m excited for Spring and all that it holds for ReTextile. There is a lot!

Last week, I filed for 501(c)(3) certification with the help of my mentor. That was a huge milestone and felt so good to have done! Now I’m just waiting on the IRS to get back to me.

In the meantime, I will be filling out some additional paperwork for Texas, creating a binder to hold all the paperwork, and finishing up work on my final project, which is due in a little less than two weeks.

I’m going to continue to work on budgeting tomorrow. I realized that I have been avoiding budgeting because I am so out of my depth, so I’m also going to be doing a couple of easy tasks this week that I am more familiar with, like creating a branding guide.

I am also going to be coordinating ReTextile’s first board meeting! I will be creating an agenda for that meeting as well. The only pressing thing I need to do with my board is set up the bank account, but I’m not going to pressure myself to get that done before the final product is due. As long as I get it done before I get out of school I’ll be happy.
