Progress with ReTextile was made! It was maybe a bit slower than I would have liked, but I am so excited as I begin to look at what is next for ReTextile. First I set up a date to drop off the quilts at Treasured Vessels. When I go to donate the quilts, I will also be interviewing the founder. As I’ve made these quilts for Treasured Vessels and done more research on the organization, I’ve learned what an amazing impact they are making and am looking forward to getting an even better understanding of how they did and continue to do that.

Besides that, I’ve also set four overarching goals for the rest of my year in ISM. Some of them are ISM-related and some of them are ReTextile-related. The goal I am focusing on for ReTextile this year is to write a strategic plan, to facilitate ReTextile’s growth. I’ve also set a larger goal to make at least ten quilts for a shelter by April, which will help encourage me to continue soliciting donations and recruiting volunteers.

Of course, for the time being, I am focusing on getting this first set of quilts done and donated. But pretty soon, I’ll be looking onward.

See you next week,

Ashley
