Spring Break is just around the corner, and I am excited! I will have a one-on-one meeting with my treasurer, Nancy Taylor. We will be discussing the bookkeeping plan, ReTextile’s strategic plan, and how we want to approach grant-writing. I’m also hoping to finish off some quilts at Quilt Country and cut a few more quilt kits. I would also like to begin drafting my final product.
But, I’m also looking forward to this week in ISM because we have our Research Showcase. It was delayed last week due to the weather, and having practiced my networking with my mentor I feel more than ready to show off ReTextile to everybody.
This week I hope to do a few more housekeeping items for ReTextile:
Reach out to the FHS UNICEF club to propose another fabric cutting event.
Contact an FISD coordinator to begin looking for ReTextile’s youth liaison.
Begin writing an application for that position.
Proofread instructions for ReTextile’s quilt kit.
Write my ISM Assessment as I continue doing research for my final product.
Make a social media post for ReTextile.
Doing all these things will help me get ahead of things from when I get back from Spring Break and help ready ReTextile to keep blossoming!
See you next week,
Ashley
