Showing Some Love

Today in ISM, students are giving feedback on our tri-fold boards for the Research Symposium. The amazing thing about all these boards is that they are so good that the feedback is almost all positive.
For ReTextile, I am also working on showing love to our donors. We recently got two substantial fabric donations and a small monetary donation, so I’ll be writing thank-you notes in the next few days for those donors. One thing that I always keep in the forefront of my mind from both secondary and primary ISM research is the importance of showing gratitude in the nonprofit world.
Besides those things, there is a lot coming up for ReTextile. I will be making a social media post for Valentine’s Day, submitting my 202 Form (incorporation form) on Tuesday, pitching ReTextile to a networking group on Thursday, and hopefully setting a few dates to finish off ReTextile quilts before Friday. It’s a full week, and I’m trying not to get overwhelmed.
After Thursday’s networking event, I am going to have a short phone call with Ms. Watkins on Friday, and I’m planning to ask her about preventing burnout and managing stress (for real this time!)
See you next week,
Ashley
