Sprinting

I feel like I am sprinting lately when it comes to ReTextile.
I have conducted my third research interview with Elizabeth Watkins from Research Frisco and got a tour of their storage and packing process from one of their board members. Both interviews were so helpful and gave me a lot of information to apply to ReTextile in the future.
This week, I have my fourth with Lori Thompson from Quilts of Valor. I’m looking forward to speaking with her especially since Quilts of Valor splits the President and Executive Director role. Ms. Thompson has also been working in the nonprofit sector for many years, so I’m looking forward to hearing her perspective.
I have had numerous sign-ups for ReTextile’s newsletter, which I am currently putting together in preparation for late November/early December. Additionally, I have had a few people reach out to me asking to donate fabric, make quilts, and lend expertise to ReTextile. All these things are very exciting, and I’ve been spending a lot more time at my computer as of late replying to these messages.
Additionally, I am beginning to prepare my speech for the Plano Quilt Guild’s December meeting and work on my Original Work for ISM. Both tasks are daunting, but I'm grateful for all the support that ReTextile has received in the past week and it makes the “sprinting” more than worth it.
See you next week,
Ashley
